Cashback card milestone
9 December 2020

UW is the only utility provider helping customers to save while they shop with our unbeatable cashback card.

We’ve just hit a record 300,000 cashback cardholders. That’s 300,000 customers that are saving money on their monthly bills - just by doing their everyday shopping.

It’s the UK’s most generous cashback card - customers can enjoy as much as 7% cashback on everyday shopping, online and in-store at our retail partners including Sainsbury’s, M&S, Boots, Halfords and many more, plus 1% cashback everywhere else.

As we enter the festive season and the end of a difficult year, money (and how to look after it) will be on many people’s minds. With many other businesses slashing their cashback rates or even cancelling them completely, there’s never been a better time to get a cashback card.

UW wins top sustainability award

15 October 2020

UW’s parent company, Telecom Plus plc has been awarded Best Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance Multi-Utility Provider (UK) 2020 by CFI.co

"Telecom Plus has pledged to plant a tree in honour of each new full-service customer - and hopes to plant 100,000 trees by 31 March 2021. That would create a woodland area equivalent to 100 football pitches, with an absorption capacity of 20,000 tonnes of CO2. Telecom Plus supports additional CSR initiatives - including Covid relief and plastic pollution education - through its non-profit UW Foundation. The CFI.co judging panel presents Telecom Plus with the 2020 award for Best ESG Multi-Utility Provider (UK)."

Winners: Which? Utilities Brand of the Year 2020

8 October 2020

The Which? awards are the Oscars of the consumer world, and we’ve scooped a gong.

The awards recognise the achievements of companies at the top of their game, and Which? is the UK's leading independent consumer champion. Other award-category winners include brands like Apple, Nationwide and Waitrose & Partners. So now you can tell everyone we're the UK's No.1 utilities provider - and that our products and services are the very best in class.

We know customers love the simplicity of UW. We look after all your home services so you can focus on the more important things in life. And now it’s clear the experts at Which? like it too.

Earlier in the year, we were the only utilities provider to earn Which? Recommended Provider status in more than one category. Both for mobile phone services, and the only broadband provider endorsed by Which?. UW has been a Which? Recommended Provider for over 10 years.

To have won the Which? award for Utilities Brand of the Year 2020 is the icing on the cake. To have won it twice is an outstanding achievement.

We beat some pretty big names in landing this award, including Asda Mobile, giffgaff and Octopus Energy. You can count on us to be loud and proud about this award over the coming weeks and months, and we know you will be too.
